Escondido Ranch Hunting Rules


1.  ALL RIFLES AND SHOTGUNS SHALL BE UNLOADED WITH THEIR BOLTS OPEN WHEN NOT, (1) IN A BLIND HUNTING OR (2) ENGAGED IN STALKING AN ANIMAL.

2. NO DRINKING OF ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES WHILE HUNTING.

3. DO NOT LEAVE THE AREA OF YOUR BLIND.  IF YOU SHOOT AN ANIMAL AND IT RUNS OFF, STAY IN YOUR BLIND, WE WILL TRY TO FIND IT WHEN WE PICK YOU UP.

4.  DO NOT CLEAN YOUR ANIMAL AROUND THE BLIND, WE WILL TAKE YOUR ANIMAL AND CLEAN IT WHEN WE PICK YOU UP.

5.  DO NOT SHOOT UNLESS YOU HAVE A STEADY REST, AND A CLEAR SHOT WITH NO ANIMALS NEAR OR BEHIND YOUR TARGET.

6.  IF YOU WOUND AN ANIMAL AS SHOWN BY SIGN OF BLOOD, OR TISSUE, YOU WILL PAY FOR THAT ANIMAL REGARDLESS OF WHETHER OR NOT THE ANIMAL IS RECOVERED.

7.  IF YOU ARE DOE HUNTING, USE BINOCULARS TO MAKE SURE THERE ARE NO BUTTON ANTLERS, THIS CAN BE A COSTLY MISTAKE IF YOU SHOOT A BUCK.

8.  ALL GAME ANIMALS REGULATED BY THE STATE OF TEXAS MUST BE TAGGED WITH YOUR LICENSE TAG AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

9.  CLEAN UP ALL OF YOUR TRASH!

VIOLATION OF THESE RULES COULD SUBJECT YOU TO FORFEITURE OF YOUR DEPOSIT AND THE IMMEDIATE END OF YOUR HUNT.
